DonnaA
I have been e-filing individual returns for several years, but this is my first year for corporation returns. The ATX program says I must scan a signed 8453-C and attach it to the corporation return when I e-file it. From what I read on the IRS site, I do not need to attach Form 8453-C as long as I have a signed 8879-C in my files. Will my corporation returns be rejected if the 8453-C is not attached? Also, is it the same with e-filed Fiduciary returns?
lydia33
I e-filed corp returns last year and kept the signed form in my files just like the 1040. I have not got my corp returns ready yet but that was how it worked last year.
DonnaA
Thanks, Lydia. That's what I thought, but was not sure. My first 1120, e-filed Sunday, was "Accepted" today without a signed 8453-C attached. Now, when (if) they transmit the 1099's, I will be happy.
