Some kind of perdiem (sp) Grand jury is voluntary are the miles to and from the meetings and out to crime sites charity miles. Was told by the court the meals would be deductible. Jury Duty pay is usually Other Income Line 21 - no SE Tax unless a W-2 is issued for Jury Duty. Potentially, I can see the mileage but a quick look at my references didn't turn up any cites. kcjenkins Posted February 20, 2015 Report Share Posted February 20, 2015 1) Don't put it in as a 1099, just put it on the line in the Line 21 worksheet for Payments for Jury Duty. It's right after the line for Barter Income. 2) Or if you enter the 1099, show it in box 3, since that is where it should be.
