redux Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 I wonder why the statistics on the ATX Community page consistently show fewer members than there are in actuality? Today we have 224 members but it shows 214. Also can we depend on the "newest" member that is shown in the stats to be the real "newest" member? These are NOT important issues erc, so please don't spend a lot of time on them, it is just a point of curiosity. Quote

Eric Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 I haven't changed anything, but I think I can explain the difference in the numbers. I did a quick check, and it looks like the total at the bottom of the front page is the total number of registered members. Right now, there are 10 people who have started the registration process, but have not yet validated their e-mail address. These people are not counted in the total because they can't yet log in and post, although you can see their usernames in the list of Members. Members who do not validate their email within 30 days will be deleted automatically by the system. And yes, you can trust that Newest Member feature. Quote
