Anybody got another idea? I finally created a new return (not an actual return, just the name, address, SSN, but it's still a pain) from scratch to get the dang 4868 e-filed. kcjenkins Posted April 21, 2009 Report Share Posted April 21, 2009 What you should have done, for future reference, was to go to the spouse fields, the name and SSN, and hit 'restore' on each field. It almost always means that there is something, maybe a . or maybe just a 'space', in that field. Restore the space, and it corrects the problem.
