bay
Did I miss something or does the Social Security Administration no longer require w-2's, w-3 on "red paper"? Client said quickbooks stated that Soc. Sec now accepts "black ink" I guess I have to dig out the circular E that I have around my office somewhere thank you
TAXBILLY
Been filing W-2s and W-3s in black ink for years. The IRS however is picky when it comes to their red 1099s and 1096s. taxbilly
cpabsd
They are picky on those 1099's. That's why I now e file those. Another benefit is I don't have to wonder if the taxpayer remembered to mail them. Even though the instructions are quite clear, I have a few each year who would "forget."
