  1. Hey Dave, I think my last post went awry, but yes, I spoke with ATX/CCH. Their solution was to install 2009, which we both know doesn't work. The only thing I have left of the 2009 program is the backup files, which are obviously worthless. I've started re-entering all the information as I only use this program for w-2's and 1099's. I think the programmer's need to be a little more forgiving to those of us that don't use the default directories. I could be wrong, but I don't think I had this problem before CCH merged the Zillion Forms and Intelliforms programs. Good Luck!
  2. I store all my data files in the "My Documents" folder. I tried moving the backup files to root directory, but no joy Still says it can't find 2009 files.
  3. Tried calling customer support; they're closed for the holidays... Dave T, I'm interested in whether installing 2009 works...
  4. I have tried both of the above. Program will not let me access Libraries>Documents>My Documents folder to save current year, restore, or backup.
  5. Rather than saving returns in the default location, I save all data files in "Documents" (AKA My Documents). This facilitates backing up all data from all sources, not just ATX. Anyway, I have a new computer, the 2009 program is not installed, but the backup files are located in "Documents". I can't restore, rollover, or even backup a new file to that location. I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit. I am the administrator and I have full access rights. Am I missing something? Thanks for any help!

    Missing K-1

I suggest filing Form 8082 and explain that no K-1 was received despite repeated attempts to obtain. I usually add that an amended return will be filed if necessary when/if the information is received.
  7. I just went through an audit on this very issue 642©. Rev. Rul. 71-285 states basically that if the governing instrument is silent on whether distributions to qualifying organizations are to be made from income or principal, state law will determine. Some states require that distributions to charities are to be made from corpus only, in which case no deduction would be allowed, but if distributions from income are permissible in the state, then you should prevail.
  8. As of today, January 10, 2010, I am not able to authenticate on Intelliconnect or Intelliforms on either my desktop or laptop. I've changed nothing. Does anyone know if there is anywhere to find out the status of their network? CCH has been nothing but trouble so far this year :(
  9. Just got off the phone with CCH (after being on hold for almost an hour) and the tech put two new files in my Intelliforms directory. I now have 2009 w-2's, etc. and hopefully they will print as they have in the past! Thought I'd let you all know. Good luck during tax season!
  10. I have been unable to find out when/if 2009 1099's, 1096's, w-2's, w-3's, etc. are to be available in Intelliforms. I tried through online chat and I received no answer, but they wanted my telephone number so I assumed someone would call me back. That was about 6 hours ago and still no answer. Called in, put on hold, finally hung up. Nothing in the FAQ's. Has anyone seen a 2009 information return in this program?
