I don't see a form 8978 in ATX. Has anyone dealt with this before? How do I file the changes received from 8986?

Sorry I meant CTC. Is it working? I may be inputting wrong, but all I had was a field to input an amount. It seems like it should flow automatically if you a child qualifies.

Is EIC working yet? As of last night, I had to just put in the credit amount. It doesn't calculate for number of children, AGI limits, etc. This software is making me nervous.

When will states be available. Also are business proformas available yet?

Invoicing by form won't flow to proformaed returns.

I just kept the past documents paper and will phase them out like I did before. So after a few years, I shouldn't have any paper files anymore. I didn't go back to scan old files, but you could do that to be truly paperless right away.

For the past few years, I haven't used physical files. I have tried to go paperless and I just scan everything to a PDF and keep it in a folder by year then by client. This been a lot easier to work with especially if you use multiple monitors. I hardly keep any paper now. I just scan the client documents and then print a copy of their return to a PDF. I will print a copy for the client if that is what they want.

Agreed. Entering every invoice separately is not acceptable. Every tax software that I have ever used has this functionality. I don't want to have to create invoices in Word or some other program. I like to print everything into a PDF right from the tax software, including an invoice and client letter. Both of these functions, in their current condition, are sketchy at best.

I can see that you can do billing by Form on an individual basis. Is there a way to set up billing by form in a central location that will create an invoice in an individual return based on the forms used in that return. It appears that I will need to assign a price to each form used in each return. Not just once like could be done in ATX and Redgear.
