Yup! Works awesome!! I love it! I just add the added fee to the clients who wish to pay with a debit card. No complaints yet.

Is anyone else having trouble with the Form Update Report feature on this year's software? The window comes up, but no forms nor their updates show up. Maybe I'm missing a step somewhere?

I'm getting calls saying a local outfit is already doing returns. They are telling the clients they will file the return on the 18th & get their refunds late January or early February. I'm thinking of going over there to see how it works :)

You also need 15 hrs of CPE to renew your PTIN.

The system would not allow my wife to renew until she signed up for the RTP exam. What a crock of $h1t. It is not a requirement to pass the exam until next year. She is CTEC certified and should be allowed to renew her PTIN.

I love my country, but I am really starting to hate my government. Time for a revolution.

Thanks, guys! I was afraid of that. I talked to him earlier & he says he has no clue how much he paid for the stocks. He says the company would take a % specified by him from his pay to buy the stocks twice a year. He left the company about 2 years ago & kept no records. Well I guess I'll have to break some bad news to him.

Client received a 1099-B after filing his return. The 1099-B shows the amount of sale reported to the IRS, but does not show the cost basis of the stock sold. It also does not show the date of acquisition, which I'm pretty sure would be various dates.

What would be the best route to find the cost basis for it?

Taxpayer worked in Alabama part year. He resides in Texas. His W2 shows $27896 in Alabama income & $1055 in taxes withheld for Alabama. When I enter this info on the AL40NR It shows Alabama income as 37209. How Can I get it to show the correct amount?

I've used Databazaar up until now with no prior issues. When I ordered my cartridges in January they failed to send me an email when they shipped. Then I found out they hadn't shipped & after a couple of calls they finally arrived. Now I needed a catridge for my fax machine & they apparently haven't shipped & they don't answer the phones. I guess I will need to look for another supplier :-(
