Thanks, Beth. What a bunch of #@?**. I'm waiting for answers for 2 E-mails from yesterday and they don't answer the phone within 15 minutes today. I'm afraid that I'll be walking next year. I hate to, because I've been really happy with this software until now.

That is wonderful! Congratulations to Danielle and family. I really appreciate how all of you have helped us on this site, even though you didn't have to. I have a funny feeling that Danielle will be pretty busy for a while.

Has anyone been able to create a NE E-file with a direct deposit? I haven't received a response from ATX since yesterday. I keep getting the message the checking and savings boxes on the state form must equal the checking and savings boxes entered on the state E-file form. Restore these fields. I've done that multiple times, replace the forms and still nothing works. I know that this was a problem a few years ago, but I can't remember if I can fix it myself or not.
Thanks!

I can't even create a NE e-file, yet because there is a program error. I'm back to having the same problems with importing W-2 information that I was having last week. No response to my e-mails.

Beth,
If he didn't actually start the business in 2007, the equipment should be depreciated starting in 2008 when it was put in service.

Is anyone else still having problems inporting the W2 information from Quickbooks? I had one client where is actually worked and now it's dropping the SS#'s again. I uploaded the file to ATX to see if they can figure out what is wrong.
Thanks!

Gail,
I'm not an expert, but I don't think that the IRS accepts E-files for a prior year. I'm not sure of the cutoff, but I think that's in December. I believe that you will have to mail it.

That's great! I still can't, because it says that the 8880 is still not approved.

Thanks! I just updated again and it finally said that the EIC form had been updated. It had never said anything before, even though I was using the EIC form.

Does anyone's form update report actually say anything? When I try to look at mine, there is nothing there, even after it supposedly downloaded updates. Maybe there is something in my computer blocking updates? My EIC form says that it is version 21, which was the good one last night according to the ATX website. It still wouldn't let me create an e-file. I'll keep trying.
Thanks!

I just talked to Kimberly at ATX and they are still having issues with imports from QuickBooks before 2006. I haven't been able to update all of my clients to 2007 yet, so I will have to wait for another update to the program.
-
I will check and see if I am doing that. Thanks!

It is taken care of thru the filing of the W-2's. You don't file it separately.

Has anyone managed to import W2 text files from QuickBooks successfully yet?

Yes, she will qualify for the credit. Just put in 12 months and it should work.

How did you fix it? I refuse to try anymore until it is fixed.

I just received an E-mail from ATX regarding the W-2s that I sent to them yesterday to be fixed. They said that they have corrected the problem and will be posting the fix later this afternoon. We will have to update the program and re-import the w2 text files from QuickBooks and/ or Peachtree.

I am having the same problem with QuickBooks Pro.

I just imported W-2s from Quickbooks and the ss# did not import. I had just downloaded an update, but it definitely didn't fix this problem. I uploaded it to ATX to fix.

Thanks, Nicole. I'm don't think that I was backing up the masters.

Yes, the 8453N is OK. They don't sign it anymore. You send attach the various forms to the 8453N and mail it in. NE says that they will give those returns priority processing. The new E-file rules are on the NE website. I'm on hold again with ATX trying to get them to fix the form.
