I don't know if anyone has tried the duplex print option on the client tab.

1. The client letters and cover sheet print on both sides.

2. State forms do not utilize the duplex.

I have done 2 returns with no problems.

Have received 1 Ack also.

I set the return manager to show only incomplete, it works, but when I close the program and reopen it ithe check mark is gone and all the returns are showing. This also happens in the e-file manager.

Has anyone an answer for this?

Is there any way to find out when MA e-file will be ready?

Is there and refund date schedule this year.

I tried to call for support and a recording says due to inclement weather they cannon service all and I got hung up on.

I checked on line and the weather is OK in GA

WHEN DOES E-FILE START

If I am not mistaken, I remember there was a wfay to set up what forms to open up when u start a new client, but I can't seem to find it.

Also is it possible to set up for certain forms to open on rolled over clients?

New client has business, health insurance not in his name but is being paid through his wife's employer. Is this deductable as self employed health ins.

It used to be so easy to enter 20+ separate donations, but this new format is horrible.

I have a client that FEMA made a determination that their home was in a flood zone, and was forced to purchase flood insurance.

I believe that the cost of the flood insurance is deductible, but are there any other credits or expenses that are deductible?

I have 5 clients from one family due to a CPA not taking depreciation on rental property.

On 2 of them I had to go back 2 years to get the depreciation and get them a good refund.

My main concern is that preparers like HRB and Jackson only have to have one person in the office who can sign returns, and the other preparers don't have to know anything.

I would file a return, especially with the proceeds of 3k it put you over the minimum.

I installed version 12.12 yesterday, and am very happy to report that so far all is fine.

Returns are loading in 15 to 20 seconds, included was a return with 2 schedule C's.

The print function has seeded up quite a bit.

And now the option to let ATX decide on the client letter is working.

Right now I am a happy camper.

My rant is about the link feature.

In past years you could link any field you wanted to.

It was great on multiple state returns, you could link the tax on the NR to the field on the resident return, and if you made a change on the NR it would flow through.

I tried it this year and got a message that you could not link a calculated field. Duh why not.

Where in ATX do you input the sales tax on a vehicle, to be an added deduction?

I am doing a Schedule E, and have several fields that I need an itemized list. In the past ATX had such a list for any field that you wanted. I see it there but it is greyed out and cannot be used.

Has anyone found a way to use these lists, or a different way to itemize things?

I have a new client who is a teacher, and she says that she is entitles to up to $250 deduction for supplies.

The only thing I can find is if she uses sch A to take the deduction. Is there any other way to take this deduction?

If you are not able to get through to TRX, I would get in touch with the IRS using e-services or if you have an IRS office near you go there.
