need help on filing in Massachusetts amended return for 2008

I have a Connecticut preparer, and have a client who lives in Massachusetts and works in Rhode Island. There is a new law in Massachusetts where Rhode Island TDI can be deducted as a credit for taxes paid to another jurisdiction, and you can go back three years.

I was wondering what forms I needed to be prepared for Massachusetts on that return.

Any help will be greatly appreciated thank you advance.

Credit for tax paid to another jurisdiction is on Form Y (combined form X, Y, Z under the Mass forms). It's almost but not quite 1-for-1. Look for the worksheet (one of the detail pages) and don't forget to put the correct state ID on Form Y.

Send a message or reply here if you need anything else and I'll help.
