Janitor Bob
Client owns rental property and paid a guy $2500 in 2013 for repairs on the house. I told client that we need to send the guy a 1099. However, she did not get his SSN and he will not respond to her requests. What happens if I check "Yes" on the Sch E question about paying someone more than $500, but check "No" on if a 1099 was sent?

kcjenkins
I recommend you DO send a 1099, with REFUSED in the space for the SSN/EIN.
