Abby Normal
My letters are highly customized. I went to rollover in 2015 and it says I have 0 global letter templates. Do I copy/paste or export/import?
Abby Normal
The letters in ATX are so effing weird. When I rolled over my test client (dummy file I always have), the custom letters were included with the return. So I just had to edit it a bit and save for all future returns. Everything about the letters is hidden and flaky. I hate it and I spend WAY more time screwing with letters than I ever did in any other tax software.
Jack from Ohio
I export client information to a .cvs file and use a Word document with mail merge. I position the name and address to fit a standard window envelope. Print, fold, stuff, stamp and mail. Works great and the letter is NOT part of the program. I have no issue finding it and changing it if I need.
Abby Normal
I was referring to tax return instruction letters, not organizer letters. And I only print, fold, stamp and mail as a last resort. Even then, I try to avoid folding.
