Booger Posted January 26, 2009 Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 I prepared this application for my client, and the client mailed it to the IRS on 12/26/08. No response yet. Anybody have an idea how long it takes the IRS to either issue the determination letter or request additional info from the client? The last Form 1023 I prepared was about 5 years ago. PapaJoe Posted January 26, 2009 Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 From my experience, it will take a month to six weeks before you receive an acknowledgement that the IRS has received your form, and three to six months before you will hear anything else from them. Booger Posted January 26, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 Taxbilly, I AM WELL AWARE OF THE INSTRUCTIONS. The IRS instructions state that they will acknowledge receipt of Form 1023 within 21 days of the mailing date, by letter.
