rebate Credit

TP is a full time student but cannot be dependent for someone else. Last year, however, he was dependent and was claimed by his parents. In 2007, he filed to claim refund.

My question is, does he qualify this year for the rebate credit since he did not receive it last year.

Thanks

Helow

Yes, he may qualify for the RRC this year even though he did not qualify for the stimulus rebate last year.

Yes, I have already had several issues just like this. If he made over $3000, he qualifies; and, of course, he made more than that or he would qualify as someone else's dependent. Do the worksheet, he will get the credit.
