AnnieR
This should be simple...son has no income, lives at home, attends ITT Tech, financed by education loans. Only a little glitch, son is 30. Can his parents take the AOC? The son, by his age and lack of income is a qualifying relative, but what about ed credits? Fellow "students" tell the son that he can take the credit even though he has no income...any ideas? Don't know where these people come from. Oh, I know, we're in Traficant country! Pacun
If I am not mistaken, he can get up to 1,000 refund, provided he is claiming his own exemtion and no one refused to claimed him as a dependent.
