Kelly Services in partnership with CCH is excited to be managing a team of software support technicians who will provide technical support via telephone for all CCH software products (or technical systems).

This is a long term opportunity and a great way to get a foot in the door with industry leader CCH, whose products track, report, explain and analyze tax & accounting and variously related accounting law products across the globe!

In this position you will:

§ Provide quality customer service / tech support for all technical system and software application related calls.

§ Participate in quality control testing of new product lines

§ Handle support calls independently supplying accurate product information.

§ Trouble shoot computer hardware and software

Minimum requirements include:

Ø Basic accounting understanding

Ø Hardware / Software trouble shooting experience preferred

Ø Network knowledge preferred

Ø Positive attitude, good customer service skills, excellent writing and communication skills.

Ø Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience prefered.

Experience with the following Computer programs:

Ø Windows

Ø PC Modems, CD Rom readers, printers, network interface cards

Ø Network knowledge: Citrix, Vista a huge plus

Ø Sage Software, or other time and billing software product preferred

Ø MSOffice

That is scary, that they don't even mention 'familiar with the CCH software products' as one of the requirements, not even mentioned as 'a plus'. No wonder they are having trouble, if they are hiring their 'support staff' thought a temp agency like Kelly. How many experienced support techs would be looking to a firm like that to find a job?

I was looking at this and I just wanted to let you know that ATX in Caribou, ME..has been closed since the end of Dec 2007..about 150 to 200 hundread full and part-time employees lost their jobs..so any tech support that ATX customer's are receving now are going to Rome, GA..this is Taxwise..CCH transfered all the tech and sales positions there..so any problems that you my be having e-filing or software..to form problems..this is your answer why you are having such a hard time with tech support this year.
