Marie Posted February 1, 2008 Report Share Posted February 1, 2008 I've not efiled two states with a federal before. I always would just piggyback one and mail the other one. So I want to know if what I'm doing is correct. When I want to efile two states, I pick one as piggyback and one as state only. I fill in all efile info sheets. Do all the federal forms follow the "state only" also. Paper filing in two states mean so many extra copies of everything, and sometimes everything doesn't get posted. Last year in MO was notorious for this. Basically my question, doing two states as easy as doing one? And is there anything extra I have to do? I don't know the specifics of what is filed with each state, but I haven't mailed additional copies for several years. It is my understanding that you need to send them in if requested by the state later. I haven't had a request, yet, so I'm assuming that they are getting what they need.
