Booger
Good evening everybody. Got a client who was a part-year Ohio Resident as well as a part-year Illinois resident in 2007. Can I e-file BOTH state returns with the Federal? Are there any special steps that I need to do to accomplish this other than check the state piggyback boxes? MAMalody
I do a couple of dozen of those each year. Just file them like normal. Should be no problem. Mike

Jack from Ohio
Good evening everybody. Got a client who was a part-year Ohio Resident as well as a part-year Illinois resident in 2007. Can I e-file BOTH state returns with the Federal? Are there any special steps that I need to do to accomplish this other than check the state piggyback boxes? Booger (Perplexed & Confused) Part year Ohio can be e-filed, I am not sure about part year Illinois. If the client lived part year in a taxing school district, the part year SD CANNOT be e-filed. If you try, the System at the state will change it to full year and send your client a bill... Been there many times last year. The information telling that the part year SD100 cannot be e-filed is burried very deep.
