I have many clients (and myself) who received Federal refunds a week ago, but still have not received OH refunds. Ohio was always pretty fast in the past. Many things have changed drastically with Ohio for tax year 2015. Their processes are now including extra scrutiny for fraudulent returns. I would not put any expectations on time for Ohio refunds this season. Last year's verification letter fiasco drew intense fire from taxpayers. Not sure what they will be doing this year. Last years letters caused me a lot of headaches. Pacun Posted February 23, 2016 Report Share Posted February 23, 2016 I think all states were taken advantage of in the past and now they are checking a bit more. Keep in mind that starting next tax season the IRS will have two types of returns: Simple ones and refunds will be issues with no delays AND the ones that include EIC and education credits, which will be automatically delayed. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
