Abby Normal Posted February 25, 2017 Report Posted February 25, 2017 Can't get any MD returns accepted. Just started last night. We are using the new town names from the drop down list. Here is the error: R000-00000-040 Maryland Individual Resident The 'http://www.irs.gov/efile:CityTownOrTaxingArea' element is invalid - The value 'Town of Easton' is invalid according to its datatype 'http://www.irs.gov/efile:MDCityTownAreaType' - The Enumeration constraint failed Quote
Pacun Posted February 25, 2017 Report Posted February 25, 2017 Do you have any Silver Spring returns rejected? That code didn't change. Quote
Abby Normal Posted February 25, 2017 Author Report Posted February 25, 2017 No Silver Spring. So far just town of Easton. An Easton return went thru on Thursday at midnight. I should try sending it with no town. It doesn't change the tax. Doing a Howard County with no town this afternoon. I'll update when that gets accepted/rejected. Quote
Pacun Posted February 25, 2017 Report Posted February 25, 2017 I am having the same issue. Page one has 1600 Rockville and I cannot change that, even if I change the address to another city. Then I answer the question where people lived on Dec 31 and I enter 122222 Living Street Silver Spring MD 20902 Have you solve your issue? If you reported it to ATX, see if you also have a different city in the box "Physical address as of December 31, 2016...? Quote
Abby Normal Posted February 25, 2017 Author Report Posted February 25, 2017 No, mine are all same mailing address and physical address. I wish they wouldn't break this stuff on a Friday so we can't get it fixed until next week. I only posted on ATX forums. I'm going to email support now. Quote
Abby Normal Posted February 27, 2017 Author Report Posted February 27, 2017 We removed the town names and the returns were accepted. The tax doesn't change without the town name. 2 Quote
Abby Normal Posted February 27, 2017 Author Report Posted February 27, 2017 So ATX closed my case (10639080) but I don't think they did anything. They basically just told me to try again. Has anyone efiled a 502 with a town that was being rejected? All the ones I've done today had no town. Quote
cpacountry Posted March 2, 2017 Report Posted March 2, 2017 We are having the same problem. It doesn't allow us to leave the town's blank, but the towns listed are not the towns my clients live in. It worked yesterday. I hope they fix it soon. Quote
Abby Normal Posted March 2, 2017 Author Report Posted March 2, 2017 It's fixed. Update forms. Ver 92 is latest. Quote
