mwpope
I am getting an error when trying to create an e file. My client and his spouse received a 1099-R for ROTH IRA contributions made in 2006 but their allowed contributions were brought to zero due to income levels so they each pulled out the 4K and the earnings prior to 4/15/2007. The 1099 was for 5,100 with a PJ distribution code. I have shown the 1,100 on a 5329 for both of them and also on the 8606 pt III so that the earnings flow to 15b to be taxed. Is it true that if there are multiple 8606 forms that an e file cannot be created and therefore must paper file or am I missing an input or check box. I've made sure that the first form is "filer" and the second is checked "spouse." Any help would be appreciated.
