I don't understand - the 1099R still gets reported to the IRS, and they are still going to match the return and ensure it is reported. Why would you want to exclude it? OkieTaxGal Posted April 13, 2009 Report Share Posted April 13, 2009 That is only if you are going to mail a return. The IRS doesn't need the1099-Rs and W-2gs if there is no tax withheld.
