joelgilb
Have a client that has a multi-state real estate business. They are for the first time going to hire employees in CA to deal with their properties there. I am trying to provide them all the Payroll forms they need for the employee and have already sent the I-1 and Fed W-4, but can't seem to find out what form is the equivalent to the W-4 is California. Anyone from CA that can let me know?

JRS
You might already know, but the website below has corrected withholding tables for California. They changed the ones that were originally published for 2009. www.edd.ca.gov/Payroll_Taxes/Rates_and_Withholding.htm
BulldogTom
And don't forget about the DE 34 for independent contractors. They need to report contracts in excess of $600 within 20 days. Tom Lodi, CA
joelgilb
Any additional or special employer registration forms besides CA DE-1 (EDD Reg for Commercial Employers)? And does DE34 need to be completed when the independant contractor is incorporated?
