Tax Prep by Deb
This is the first time I have ever attempted to e-file 1099's. I have created the 1099's needed, included the transmittal form, created the e-file and transmitted it. I've noticed that nowhere do I have a DCN number, and it has stayed on transmitted to ATX for 5 days. Is this normal or did I miss something? Thanks in advance, Deb! TaxmannEA
It's normal. IRS doesn't seem to get too exited about acks for 1099s. It sometimes takes a week or more to receive them.

elfling
But what about not having a DCN or even my EFIN number showing? Deb! That seems to be the norm as well. Have a least a dozen from last month. Took the typical week or more to be accepted but DCN doesn't show. Elfling
