Just retired, however, I would like to continue to prepare my son's income tax return (he's a pastor). Does anyone know of any good tax program software I could purchase? Mike ???? Thanks. MAMalody Posted January 5, 2012 Report Share Posted January 5, 2012 The Pay-per-return from ATX cost $475, which could be kind of steep for one return (I am assuming your son's return was a NC or discounted). You may just want to purchase TT off the rack since you know how the return should turn out. I would be willing to do it with no fee required. If you are already familiar with taxes and know your way around a 1040, it might work. I have only used it to show college students how they can file their own returns, but I know my aunt used to use it to do her return until she missed the long term care deduction and started paying me to do her returns.
