TP separated 06 granted divorce in 07 non community state.Problem is: In 06 joint investment account showing interest, dividends. capital gains distributions, stock sales, with TP's # being used. This account was frozen untill divorce issued. Broker was informed by court(07) to divide account into 2 accountsFor 07. No Problem07 However how do I allocate to spouse her share of the earnings for the 06 1099's received (nominee for int and div) how do you show half of the capital gains and sales)? Value of the 06 account on 12-31-06 was used as a division of property. each got half of the value in final decree. many thanks

Some states have their estimated payments and penalities attached to the March 3 deadline. Has anyone heard if they also will extend date?

hello all. Question is I have TP with rental to relative at 75% of market value. does show a profit even if I take all expenses. Can I do this on Schedule E? Or do I get none of the expences and show all the rent. The way we cal 75% was TP has 4 other rentals to non relatives. What does this board think? Many thanks to all.

Last year I used a scripted signature for my signing. I changed to master form to showthis. However when I roll either with or with out it comes up Block Style printed. If i tell it to add preparer info it puts it in block mode. Anyone know how to fix this so that it shows up scripted on all returns? Thanks to all. :)

Just had a client call and tell me a retroactive for self employed persons who had govt insurance being retired from govt was just signed. Anyone hear of this yet. This issue has always been a problem. Many thanks for the input. I am trying to find out where he heard or read this tidbit.
