  1. As far as I know, WI follows the federal on the S Corp Health Insurance, but maybe someone else knows for sure. I don't have any S Corps with health insurance. WI Payroll: WT-6 Payroll WIthholding Monthly, Quarterly or Annual depending on amount. WT-7 Annual reconciliation W-2 and if on paper, a WT-2 Transmittal available here: http://www.revenue.wi.gov/ State Unemployment: Pretty low threshold, I THINK 2 persons and the definition is more aggressive than for income tax. Independent contractors can and have been reclassified as employees for UCI. There is a new employer rate for the first couple of years until the employer gets established. more info here: https://dwd.wisconsin.gov/ui/ Jill
  2. That is the way I did one for United Health Group. I had been doing them long hand until this change in reporting requirements, so I worked through the worksheet to be sure and the brokerage didn't have the amount from the w-2.
  3. I had 2. One I deleted and rerolled and started over. The other, I deleted and restored from backup. Jill
  4. Thank you. I hope Tuesday's update works, too. I am getting quite a stack of these. Maybe when I have time (ha) I will call ATX and ask what their plan was....
  5. Any chance that you have figured this out? I am having the same problems. It is with both the rent certificate and with the property tax type of homestead credit. Do you think ATX wants us to scan the Rent Cert and/or RE Tax bill? I don't have a scanner. Thank you for any help. Jill
  6. It has not been adopted. When we ask about it, the Dept of Rev doesn't have an answer. The legislature simply has not followed the Federal on this. Along with a few other things. (Education Subtraction, Teacher's 250 Subtraction, Special Depreciation and some more I don't remember right now). As far as I can plan it is "permanent". My personal guess (and only a guess) is that 2008 is the first year that WI will not tax any social security benefits. I think that the legislature is waiting for the dust to settle on that major change before adopting other things. Otherwise it could be any number of things including a constitutional requirement to have a balanced budget and things are VERY tight and something had to go. Jill Kubiak
  7. Hi, While on hold with ATX last week, the message kept saying "for faster service login in to Tax Wise.com" so I did. Same user number, same login. same password as my ATX account. There is more info on their Splash Screen. The ack servers have been switched over to return receiving computers so preparers can send in their high volume of returns that are over loading the server bank. It doesn't say when the ack servers will be back so we can all go home tonight. So I was curious if we poor cousins are getting less information than the Tax Wise group, how much is Tax Wise. Ooops. I really didn't want to know. $3000 or so for what I am getting now. I could pare it down to 1657 but I don't know if it will get the job done. Jill
  8. Hi, I efiled qty 3 4868 and 1 7004 yesterday and all were accepted. Mine go to Andover. From the support page there is a very large number (over 5000) from Fresno that are backlogged. I also have not seen a single notice since early February. Jill
  9. Hi, Unless things have changed, you can elect to file US gov't savings bond interest on the final return of the decedant. I did one a couple years ago. Client was in the nursing home and medical wiped out most of the income. Just another option depending on your circumstances. Jill

Hi, Were any of the dividends Capital Gain Distributions? Did you work through the worksheet on the tab at the bottom? I almost missed that on two of mine. (Brother and Sister) This dropped their tax considerably. The other two I have done for severl years now and they just never have had and capital gains so I didn't know the worksheet was there. Jill
  11. Thanks for the posted note. I can't connect either and I have a bunch of pickups starting at 10:00 CDT. It is good to know it is not me so can explain I will file later. Jill

    1099-B

Hi, Any chance it was a bond that had OID. That would have been taxed each year as shown on the 1099 for those years. If so then there would be an increase in basis by the amount of OID previously taxed. Jill
