joanmcq
Ok, been up since 10:45pm last night (my sleep schedule is really whacked right now) and as you can imagine, I'm kinda fried. Is there any way to do a direct debit if paper filing? I've rarely had people want to direct debit period, but one of my RDPs wants it all to go direct. I don't think I've done an all-nighter since college....and my 30 year reunion is in June!
JRS
I have never used it, but the Treasury's EFTPS should work. You can schedule payments up to a year in advance for individuals.
Jack from Ohio
EFTPS is the only way if paper filing.
joanmcq
Ugh. I've never used EFTPS, and have no idea how to walk someone through it. But since I have to mail them the returns, maybe the prospect will look easier tomorrow or Friday. Is it easy for an individual to set up? JRS
It looks fairly simple. They walk you through the enrollment, then send they send you a PIN in a few days. Payments can be made online or by phone.
