Legal fees deductible or not

Publication 529 says you can deduct:

"Legal fees related to producing or collecting taxable income or getting tax advice."

I usually try to print something for my client from someone besides the IRS, too. Hope these help:

Arent all divorce legal fees about money? either current taxable or future estate taxable

No.

Property transactions (Mainly only the personal residence) is non-taxable.

The kids and Child support are non-taxable.

A lot less alimony is being approved...

So much of the divorce legal expenses are non-deductible.

Most lawyers will give you a breakdown of their clients invoices to help you out.
