minkcpa
27 year old too impatient for Mom and Dad to come visit with me took her W-2 and went to Liberty. $400 later she got her refund and had a Federal and PA but no local because they did not know how to do it!! Lives in a township with a 1% tax and an address in one with a 3.4% tax!! Youth, throwing money away, Liberty taking it.
kcjenkins
27 is old enough to be more sensible than that!
Crank
27 is old enough to be more sensible than that! You would think that common sense comes with age but you dont have to mature to grow up. I know a lot of individuals who never matured because they werent required to. Terry D EA
I bet she got the $50.00 check too. unfortunately it is not only 27 year olds who fall for these things. Greed and impatience has no age barriers nor does common sense.

JohnH
Speaking of tax prep ads, how about this sign I saw stuck all around a local shopping center today?
MsTabbyKats
FWIW-H & R etc...have been in business a long time and are making $$$. They probably do mainly simple returns.....and afaik the fee is based on input. I don't think there's much flexibility. From a business perspective...I'd be laughing at me if I were them (meaning a corp exec...not a preparer).
Terry D EA
John I have seen those same signs popping up all over the place here. Some I have pulled down because they are putting them at the driveway entry to where I work during the day. Certainly is misleading.
