Oak Grove, MO - $108 - majority of them are $83 - what did I miss> I thought per diem was $46/day...and thru CSA higher up to $71 - is he allowed this table have I been cheating my truckers? pikester1967 Posted April 8, 2014 Report Share Posted April 8, 2014 The federal transportation per diem amount for OTR truckers is different than the standard per diem for business travel. Check his log books, he's entitled to Full or Partial days depending on whether he was home at anytime or on the road all day. Hopefully this is helpful. I guess I will not print this and ask them at 8:30 am when they come in... still 12 returns to do today for pick-up and 1 1065 and finish a S corp - someone way over scheduled thinks I am super person and that's is so not so! mcb39 Posted April 8, 2014 Report Share Posted April 8, 2014 If they are DOT drivers, it is $59 per overnight day. That is for meals and entertainment, small incidentals. If they pay for their motels, that is separate. Make sure they aren't reimbursed for any of this stuff. Some are, some aren't; some get partial. DOT drivers are hauling people or product interstate. Thx for any insight. D $83 is the per diem rate for lodging for locations without specified rates. Basically, he's giving you the per diem for lodging rates.
