Ringers Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 I noticed in looking at the 2014 forms list that the 3115 form is listed for business returns but not available for 1040 returns. This could be a problem for schedule C filers and people owning rental property based on the "strict application" of the new expense or capitalize election rules. I guess we won't know until the forms are finalized whether or not they will include the 3115 with personal returns. Quote
ADGFINANCIAL Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 I think it's too early to worry about this. I hope it's made available. Quote
michaelmars Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 if not, I would make one up in a dummy corp returns and pdf it but I am sure it will be available. Quote
ADGFINANCIAL Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 On the NSA daily feed this morning it was stated that Drake will issue their Form 3115 for the 1040 by the end of Jan. I would think that ProSeries would do the same. I just think it's early to worry. 1 Quote
jklcpa Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 I agree, I wouldn't worry about it not being included yet. Quote
ADGFINANCIAL Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 This was on the ProSeries site today: Based on your feedback, we will be including Form 3115, Application for Change in Accounting Method, in a future release of ProSeries 2014. Right now, that release is scheduled for late January. And we still don't know when or if it will be included in ProSeries Basic. You can read more here [http://accountants.intuit.com/support/tax/proseries/document.jsp?product=PROSERIES_TAX&id=INF27444]. Quote
