Randall Posted April 3 Report Share Posted April 3 A client Fed return rejected. He has custody of grandchild. Apparently parent or boyfriend has already filed and claimed child as a dependent. I have to paper file the Fed return. I'm just wondering if I can efile the state return. Unfortunately there are two state returns because he moved in mid year. BrewOne Posted April 3 Report Share Posted April 3 I don't believe it's possible. Fortunately, the software should select the proper Federal forms that need to be attached to each State return.
