  1. ok, CCH....I am urked on a Sunday, which I rarely am. Earlier today, I needed to resolve a problem that Customer Service NEEDS to fix, so I call. No customer support today on the phone, and the message said to go to the webite. I deleted cookies, updated my security, ect ect...and still the site is down. What kind of tax software company is not open in February and NO website support? hmmmm, Drake is looking prettier everyday!

  2. And we know he must have kept careful records of the purchasers and let them know how much money he was saving them - then. I wonder if he will continue this line of business...

  3. Agree with JohnH totally. Disagree with Pacun totally. Had a guy get mad and tell me it was my responsiblity as his tax preparer to tell him which documents he receives in the mail are related to his tax return and I should have told him which ones to bring to his appointment. Hmmmm, let's see, lights out in the crystal ball and clouds have moved in. Took him off the organizer mailing list apparently he doesn't know what that is either. Oops my bad, I forgot to tell him he needed it. We have all had these kind of experiences. In the heat of the moment, whacking their heads off is appealing along with any other form of get even punishment we can muster. After the dust settles, you will be the better person for letting it go. I agree to send him a bill for your services. Chances are he won't pay and it will be more aggrevation to file in court. Expecting an apology from morons like this is useless. In the past, for every one of these jerk clients I loose, three new clients usually take their place. Good luck and look forward to a better tomorrow.

  4. He probably has nothing to worry about. I'm sure that when he shows his tax bill to all his buddies who bought the cigarettes form him, they will gladly chip in the tax money to help him round up the $10K.

  5. I'd rethink the 1099-C idea if I were in your situaton. You are not a financial institution.

  6. Seriously, because I find them to be incompetent and robotic. I spent 45 minutes on the phone this morning with a woman who was very nice, but had no clue why the 1120S and CA 100S were not talking to each other and why the CA 100S cannot be efiled. She was seriously going to have me make a .pdf copy of the CA schedule B and attach it to the e-file rather than try to fix what is wrong with the return. (of course, it did not work, and now I have to wait until Monday for "somebody" to take a look at the return). This woman I talked to today obviously was over her head. I bet she makes about a quarter of what they were paying William, Monkeyman, and all the wonderful people up in Carribuo. Tom Lodi, CA
