  1. I had a client bring me cookies today, and not just any cookies but from the killer high-end bakery in the area, nicely wrapped in festive ribbon with a card thanking me. So, not all bad. Now onto another all-night round of tax fun!

  2. "...my little piece of revenge for them being inconsiderate." Your revenge against them is taking clients. Your "favor" to your clients is your lower fee structure. In the whole process, you must not keep your fee structure so low that it is not "CONSIDERATE" to "YOU" for being professional, thorough and caring about your clients. There is plenty of room between your fee structure and the "big boys" for you to be sure you treat your self appropriately by not "undercharging" for your services and professionalism.

  3. This seems to be happening more and more. With young people jumping the gun and efiling their own returns. Don't forget when paper filing, attach W2s and 1099s with withholding. I tend to forget to do this since we've been efiling tha last few years.

  4. I gave up worry about it, I work as long as I can, do as much as I can, If they do not like it, guess they will find someone else, I am real tired of this last min crap and they sure are not the easy ones, and the ones I owe, so I will come in april 14th, or the the one I have done in January owes $600 called them today to remind them it is still here, and my bill is not that high. If they call next week say they will come by Monday the 17th, by then its to late, I will have extended it, they can pick up the payment voucher from the table outside the door and good luck finding a post office after 5
