Pedro
During Tax Year 2011 Mother earned $10,000. And her daughter earned $14,000 Daughter lived with her mother all year; she is 23 years old and full student during 2011. Is mother eligible to claim EIC? Thanks! Lion EA
No support test for qualifying child for EIC, if that's what you're really asking. Prepare almost no returns with EIC, so you'll have to confirm that the tests are met.

Pacun
As long as the child didn't provide more than 50%, the daughter is the qualifying child of the mother. No EIC in this case.
Tax Prep by Deb
As long as the child didn't provide more than 50%, the daughter is the qualifying child of the mother. No EIC in this case. Support not an issue with EIC, at least the last time I looked. Deb!
