cred65
TP (low level analyst) receives W-2 from Defense Finance & Actg. Serv. with box 14 K "Tax on excess golden parachute payments" & V "Income from exercise of nonstatutory stock option". What am I missing here. Have the gov't employees become Capitalistic Pigs? Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana
What are the dollar amounts for each code? Ask to see the client's final paycheck stub; it may yield better information that those codes (which I presume you suspect are in error). The software also sends the $529 to Line 62 (c) as additional tax.
Margaret CPA in OH
My client with the same employer shows that Box 14 K is Pretax Vision and Dental Deduction and V is Pretax FEHB Incentive. Don't you have the list of codes with the W-2?

I think we've all done that and just caught ourselves before posting. Maybe even writing the post - but not submitting it. Do I speak of myself? Nah!
