schirallicpa Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago I have uninstalled and reinstalled the programs 3 times. I don't know what else to do. Any tips or tricks. I need to get some older returns done so this would be quite nice to have programs that work. 2018 works. 2019 works. 2022 works. The COVID years happen to be MIA on my computer. I hope this isn't a vax issue........... 1 1 Quote
mcb39 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago I can't help you other than to say that I just prepared returns on both 20 and 21 Max, using the programs which were already installed on my working computer. You didn't mention which program you were using. Quote

You didn't mention which program you were using. In addition, both programs updated when I opened them. I did have to create a new password, therefore having to enter the installation codes. Good Luck to you. 1 Quote

I hope this isn't a vax issue........... I am not a techy type, so take this with a grain of salt. But I have found that the issue when the software won't open is the database is not started, or it needs to be restarted. If you can get to your control panel, check the status of the database for the year in question and the year before the year in question (for some reason if the year before you want to use does not have a running database the year you want will sometimes give you trouble). If that does not work, ask @Abby Normal That is what I do when I need to confess my ignorance. Tom Longview, TX 1 Quote
