Margaret CPA in OH
A client moved to Switzerland and wants to extend with a payment. I'm struggling with the foreign address because it doesn't fit State and zip code conventions. I want to efile with a direct debit payment but can't seem to get past the address and the 10 digit phone daytime phone number. Any suggestions? Lion EA
Don't use ATX any longer, but isn't there a box for FA for foreign address and then you get a pop-up to write in address?
grandmabee
what program do you use now?
Lion EA
ProSystem fx. It does everything! I just did a partnership, exported the K-1s, opened the joint return which recognized the K-1s, and then imported a spreadsheet from their broker with 700 trades. The best thing is that when I did that all for the first time last year even later in April, a nice person at CCH answered the phone quickly and walked me through it all. I use pay-per-return to keep the cost down. But, customer support is worth every penny I pay!

Last year, I have successfully e-filed a federal return for a client residing in Hong Kong. I used "." in the state field and left the zip code field blank. They had a payment due w/ the return which was processed successfully as well. Robin
Margaret CPA in OH
Thanks, Robin. That seems to have done the trick. There is a place on the 2555 for the foreign address but the 4868 wasn't working. Now I have only the 10 digit daytome phone number to deal with. I suppose I could/should put mine but get 2848 signed first. Thanks for the hint.
