  3. I have decided not to enter any information in the 2012 program till all the bugs get fixed. If you choose to, you will probably be entering it all again. Still have 11 days till we can file. I will wait and only do things once.

  6. To Doug I don't understand how anyone can be satisfied with this program even it works properly. I am glad I have only a few returns with depreciation. The depreciation forms are horrible, and the description in the tree should read what the property is not numbered 1, 2, 3 ect. I have a return with 15 different items and you have to open each one to find the one you want to make adjustments. Whoever designed this program had no idea what they were doing. I cannot even find a depreciation report of all the items. And the idea of using all the space on the screen is horrible. I have a wide screen and cannot utilize it with this program. I am still waiting for someone to bring the employer database forward for me because the proforma will not work on my computer. Not a happy camper.

  7. Your expectations of the IRS are fantasy. The IRS cannot even correctly credit me the CPE credits I earned at THEIR Nationwide Forum in Chicago in August. Now answer me how all these changes are going to improve the quality of tax returns?

  8. The RTRP program (I have complied with CPE and the test) is the biggest joke since Y2K. It is nothing but a money grab by the IRS. All the expense and time I spent complying has only given me one thing I did not already have.... The ability to put RTRP after my name. No additional privileges with the IRS for my clients above being unregistered. Now I see where the IRS relented and did NOT ENFORCE the CPE requirements for 2012. I also know that people who did not renew until after Dec. 31, 2012 were not even questioned about being late. (Two people in my office...) None of these steps will accomplish any of the state purpose which is "To ensure that people preparing paid returns are knowledgable and qualified to prepare accurate returns and to reduce the filing of fraudulent returns." The whole program is Male Bovine Scat!!
