  1. Dear Lender, My client says he has applied for a mortgage. In completing his tax return, I am required to use all information I know about. Please send me a letter verifying his self-employment income. Thank you.

  2. The largest reason I will not jump ship is the conversion factor. No conversion from one tax software to the other is 100%. That means scrutinizing every part of every return (especially loss carryforwards, deprectiation etc.) to be sure all information was properly converted. Consider hundreds or thousands of clients, and you see my hesitation.

  4. I don't write them either. I just cite them IRS Code Section 7216 revised Jan 1, 2009 that says I must have a consent form in writting before I prepare the taxes.   7. what you can do is use a list. They still have that feature. Put 5 on line 1 and 15 on line 2 and at the bottom it will show 20. Tom Hollister, CA

  8. There is a user manual that came with the program. It is a .pdf file. I know we all have said this but it is the first time I have used this line.

  9. MaIn Street never returned my call. I went with W-Tax's suggestion. I'm waiting for the registration number from them now.
