  1. FINANCIAL PLANNING Dan was a single guy living at home with his father and working in the family business. When he found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a wife with which to share his fortune. One evening at an investment meeting he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away. "I may look like just an ordinary man," he said to her, but in just a few years my father will die, and I'll inherit $200 million." Impressed, the woman obtained his business card and three days later, she became his stepmother. Women are so much better at financial planning than men.

  3. My son has an alarm clock app on his phone that requires him to solve three math equations before the alarm will shut off, in ascending order of difficulty. Or at least he did have at one time. He was late for work once, when he first got his "real" job after graduating and it scared him so badly that he downloaded that app to insure that he woke up all the way instead of hitting snooze and going back to sleep.

  4. Margaret -- same thing happens to me ALL the time. I am search engine impaired; no matter what term I use, it is the wrong term. This also applies to every term I can think of to search for. This explains a LOT of my posts here and to other tax forums.

  8. Aarrghhh! It just happened again. I was working on a return for about 30 minutes. Had to step away for a few minutes. When I came back I had a message saying ATX was not able to connect to the server (I've gotten that a lot over the last couple years) and asked if I wanted to retry or cancel. I clicked retry and the program closed. Lost the whole thing. I'm normally pretty serious about frequent saves but I was so intense on this one that I don't recall having clicked the save icon. My bad. So auto-save hasn't worked since 2011. I didn't know that. Well, I guess I'm only at risk for another 10-15 extensions. I've already purchased Drake for next year. I used to love ATX. That seems like a long time ago.

  9. Thanks! I guess I was using the wrong search terms, not for the first time. So will do this even though the 'business entity' was just a sole prop. Thanks again!
