Jeff, give me a little more detail on what you are asking. Reports are pretty easy. What I think you are asking is can we create a report telling you who came back this year and who did not, or you want to be able to export clients to excel. Is this correct? Doug

$550.00 through another reseller they have. Keep in mind RedGear has totally rewrote their program and it has not been tested and will not be out until Jan. 1st. It is not going to be the same RedGear as last year the entire look and feel has changed to accomodate H&R Block their new owner. Doug

John, I am trying to get the estimate flag put in the software that is a good idea. I am thinking that after you do auto error check I can put a button that says "incomplete" beside the MeF button that will mark the return so you know you have to go back and complete it later. Do you think this will work for what you are wanting? John, thanks for giving me the opportunity make sure you are satisfied I can assure you we will give a 150% effort. I wish the others on here would do the same it just appears no matter what there are some that will never be happy. What most of them do not understand I have a Team of about 75 people working to make updates and we released our software early so everyone would get used to the look and feel which I love. I actually did a return this morning in less than a minute using the default return I created. Also make sure you check for updates each day we are at version 0.0.3 as of today and I am still working on the Cannon Scanner. Let me know, Doug

Mike, I have had your called pulled and yes you did say you wanted RedGear so I have no problem giving you a refund and will do so in the morning, thanks for your previous business but my software is complete, accurate and I trust its outcome. Remember as I have told you previously we e-filed 50,000 returns complete and accurately this past tax season in our BETA test and we have already passed the IRS ATS testing this year that is required by the IRS each year. We are continuing to make updates to the software features and calculation updates daily as the states and IRS give them to us. Matt, I have spoke with you everyday on here and you say you are going to try TRX Pro, but you want a refund and then repurchase I am a little confused. Now you are saying you are disputing the charges with your credit card company, I cannot issue you a refund when you are disputing the charges it is in the hands of your credit card company and my merchant account. As far as the BBB you know they closed the complaint because you flat out told them something that was not true, after that you even said on here that you figured I would not want you as a customer. Matt I will work with you just like I told you but I have personally listened to the call with you and not one time were you told RedGear, TaxWorks or 1040Works so please quit trying to say you were. I have told you if you want RedGear I will get it for you but there is an up charge from TRX Pro that you will have to pay and it is at my cost. I want you and everyone happy with my Company but a refund is out of my hands now that you have disputed it, now it is between your card and my merchant account company so until then how can I help you. Magy let me restate what I have said all along if you were told you were getting RedGear we will refund your money, also why did you not say something yesterday when we exchanged messages? John, Today we made a couple of updates to the features: we added the price sheet so you can load your pricing, we also fixed the sort on the open client grid. their were a few other things but I am working on the conversion sort you asked for earlier. I will check on the Cannon Scanner for you too. Do you know if it is a Twain type? Doug PS Make sure you setup your default return under the utilities menu it makes it easy.

Ed is it really necessary for you to create this type of forum? I have been very upfront and said if anyone was told thet were going to receive TaxWorks / RedGear specifically I would refund their money. I have pulled the call and you were never told TaxWorks but I knew this prior to pulling the call since the only reference to TaxWorks we are able to make per our contract is either RedGear or 1040Works. We have never sold TaxWorks here ever, we have only sold a rebrand of 1040works they would not allow us to resell TaxWorks. The sales person told you correctly we were in contract talks. Ed if you want RedGear I am glad to sell it to you as I stated before, but there will be a upcharge. Doug Hughes

Thanks for clearing that up. We designed it so that unless you reindex the last years returns do not show up until you enter their SSN's this way if they were not to return then you did not pull them forward. This would allow you to market back to these people to see where they are at. We are making some tweaks to the conversion now, even though they are never perfect we want to be as close as possible. Matt 7 years ago I did income tax returns just like you and now I have two sets of income tax software I have developed to help people just like yourself continue to do business without the high cost of the other software companies, I have had my contract pulled from ATX and TaxWise after a battle that cost me several hundred thousands of dollars because I was giving you ATX at a highly reduced price. I told myself then that I would no longer let a software comapny do that to me again or do it to you again, that is why I have spent every penny I could get to develop our own software and allow you to purchase it at 70% off the norm. We filed 50,000 tax returns through this software last tax season in our Beta test sucessfully so Matt give it a rest or for that matter go develop your own software it should be easy you seem to already have all the answers. I hope your whole life is not a half empty glass, I asure you the reward is much better looking at the glass that is half full. Thanks Art 1. On the Section 179 I will have to check with our tax team ,but keep in mind this is version 0.0 on the CD, you should have been promted to update to V0.2 if you have not do that. 2. These forms are coming in updates over the next few days. 3. The Business Codes are furnished by the IRS, however these maybe different than the legacy forms remember we are now 100% MeF. The Reject Acknowledgements are going to be different than legacy too, they are much better detailed. 4. Make sure you have updated and any these that are system errors will be fixed over the next few days. 5. What are you refering to as Libraries and I will address this and get this taken care of. 6. I know you can go up to utilities and go to custom letters and create anything you want, you can even copy and paste your previous letters. It is really good it is a lot like MS Word. 7. It is coming in the next few days as we are waiting to get the updates from the IRS 8. States will be available over the next couple weeks. 9. We are available on Fridays for Tech Support until 5pm cst. We are going to be extending our hours in the next few weeks as requested by many of you guys. John thank you for your comments and I will check out why your not getting the same look as the video in the peek mode, however it maybe your resolution you monitor is set at check that. Mike the training videos are on the CD along with the manual if you will take the time and look at the front of the DVD case it will tell you this. The members website has a complete list of tutorials along with Videos so you are very wrong in making statements once again. I know you said you do 50 returns and that is why you want to stay with TRX because of the price but If you want to wait and purchase RedGear when it comes out January 1st with their new product that is your choice. 1. The States are not out yet but the will be in the next couple weeks, "JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER SOFTWARE COMPANY" 2. No we are not open today but we are open Monday thru Friday 8 am till 7 pm. "We increased our hours for tax season just as you and many others asked" We have also tried to contact you thru the week but you mostly do not answer the phone or your son answers, so we are trying to satisfy you. 3. The reason the Forms peek shows the 2011 forms is simple, until the IRS gives us the final version we leave it 2011 so we & you know it is updated when it says 2012. 4. The 990 & 1041's will be available later around late Feburary or early March the other forms will follow after that. You know Mike I looked back at the emails you sent me when we switch from ATX/TaxWise to TaxWorks and you said these same things so the trust statement was very insulting coming from you. Don if you are havig problems on the proforma call into support on Monday and we will take care of any issues, I have personally checked this proforma and it is really great but you know sometimes under different enviroments of our computers things are little different. Also the Corporate proforma will not be available until Jan 11th, but it is coming. Thanks Doug

Me nor RedGear can provide you the exact software you had last year because theirs has changed and will not be released until 1-1-2013. I do not know why you would make a statement either about its about time on the RedGear Contract I wish I could read their mind too, but I posted within 2 hours after hearing from them. As far as your just add one more thing if you want the RedGear at those prices I will supply it to you, so no its not too late. However us signing a contract that they presented us does not address the majority of our customers needs but since you are willing to pay those prices I will buy it from them and sell it to you just call Karen and give her your card information for me to bill the difference. As far as refunds I believe I have offered that in my previous post and how we will be doing that.
