ha-ha-ha-ha :-) ....

unbelievable!

Two questions just come up to me out of all this, straight away.

1. I am in this area since 2004, so can anyone advise about such similar "pleasant events" in the past?

I am just curious  ... don't want to provoke any hot disputes here and now.

2. Can anyone post a correct link (if applicable) where all these bills (or at least re AMT) can be seen?

Thank you.

Ever since the Bush cuts/credits existed, we've been going through this every year, because ALL of them were all made temporary (some for only a year or two, like the sales tax deduction). We used to only have to deal with the AMT patches on a regular basis. The only year that was fairly easy was 2011; since everything had been extended for two years.

I think they stopped being the Bush tax cuts the first time President Obama agreed to extend any of them. Thereafter, they were properly known as the Bush-Obama tax cuts.

Depending upon what happens next, though, they will forever be known as the Obama tax increases after he signs the legislation. (or even if he doesn't sign anything)
