have you seen the tax prep programs that integrate with prosystem and others? You scan in the w-2's, 1099's and k_1's and they are supposed to autopopulate the return. We previewed it and it was a disaster with wrong amounts and wrong entries but in the future it will be there!! Another alternative being batted around is you will be able to go to the irs database and download the above info and then you only have to adjust the info and enter anything missing. But all data in the irs database will be entered for you.

Drake has the Gruntworks option (for additional fee) that does some of the scanning and populating. I think we had an extensive thread here on that previously. But it is nowhere close to $30K???

I was told Drake was only $1200. What do you not get for $1200?

Actually Drake was $1095 in April and then it goes up $100 per month until full price of $1495.

They used to provide Checkpoint tax research for that price but now you have to pay an additional $89 (for 2014). Last year they offered TTB same price.

When did you preview Scan & Flow with ProSystem fx? I saw it in action within the last year, and it's pretty amazing. CCH also has outsourcing where you upload all the documents and they download a return! All for additional prices, of course.
