Lion EA Posted March 8, 2014 Report Share Posted March 8, 2014 AFTER the first trip of the day, all the mileage in between business trips that day, but NOT the trip home at the end of the day. Getting from one workplace to another in the course of your business or profession when you are traveling within the city or general area that is your tax home. Tax home is defined in chapter 1. Visiting clients or customers. Going to a business meeting away from your regular workplace. Getting from your home to a temporary workplace when you have one or more regular places of work. Lion EA Posted March 9, 2014 Report Share Posted March 9, 2014 And yet they don't have her go to a school or regular place of work, so that eliminates one of the bullet points. Help her schedule her first and last stops really close to her home; they can be stops at a supply store or library or other business purpose. If what would be her base school or district office, where ever her direct report works, is close to her home ask if she couldn't start &/or end her day there to turn in reports or whatever -- having a regular place of work helps.
