We need a tips and tricks sticky post to share this kind of stuff.

Here's the link: http://files.cchsfs.com/doc/atx/2014/Help/14.3/Content/Both-SSource/Creating Links Between Fields.htm

This solves a couple issues with MD forms (paging Richcpaman!) like automating the county name on the 502D worksheet and the new physical address field, but I'm sure I'll find more uses for it.

And if you knew about this and didn't tell me, this is for you ಠ_ಠ.

I have to write my signature date on every 8879. I also have to enter it in the EF info form. Now I don't.

Yeah, it's pretty impressive. I also link my most common state forms and connect them to the federal as well. It saves some time. Also, there are a lot of times that a client does not come in to sign their returns on the day they say they are going to sign it. Now you only need to change the date in one spot and it auto populates the rest.

When I used ATX I did something similar for every DE client that had credit for taxes paid to other states. ATX never got to the correct credit without overriding, so I'd link the lines for those overrides to the appropriate lines on the other states' returns in case there was a subsequent change to the returns, I wouldn't have to manually recalculate those credits again, it was automatic.
