Robin
I discarded the first schedule A (v 29) form in my return, because I was getting "value" where tax prep fees should go instead of last year's fee, thus the Sch A total line stated "value" as well. I have r/e taxes, mtg interest, state taxes, contributions all showing up ok, but the form does not total correctly (s/b $25,820), and is giving them a standard deduction of 12,400. The newly added sch A is doing the same thing.... Any ideas what could be wrong? Robin
Pacun
Open Schedule A form and open the very last bunny and uncheck Ln 40a.
TAXBILLY
The standard deduction for MFJ is 11,400. Since you are showing 12,400 it looks like you have a Schedule L there in addition to the Schedule A. Be sure the RE taxes are on Schedule A and then discard Schedule L. taxbilly
HV Ken
The "value" error usually indicates a data entry problem in a blue field. The field you reference is a bunny to the billing invoice. Follow the bunny and see if the blue field you end up at has an error in it. kcjenkins
$12,400 is what you get when you take the standard deduction and your RE tax is equal to or more than $1000. So clearly the program thinks you are taking the standard deduction. Does page 2 line 40b [which is just a box] have an X in it?
