Marie
Purchased new laptop. I only want to put 2010 files on to rollover to 2011. Been working on moving files, but can't get to work. Tech won't help on wireless. Can anyone help?
Lion EA
Two computers ago I was still using ATX. Then, the knowledgebase article had me install 2010 (in your case) on the new computer and then do an export of the 2010 data file to a flash from the old computer and the corresponding import to the new computer. Check the knowledgebase for the latest technique.
mcb39
Install the 2010 Software on the new computer and update. Export the files you want from the 2010 Program Manager page under File, onto a jump drive. Then import them into the 2010 program on the new computer. Again, under File in the Program Manager. Pacun
Install 2010 and update program, rename the data base folder, copy the database from the old computer and dump it at the same label as the old database folder and then open the program. Open a couple of returns, create a new one, then install 2011, update program and you should be able to roll over returns from 2010.
